Where to find your Action Plan

Your personalized Action Plan lives in your Results portal. You’ll find it in the left-hand menu.

How your Action Plan is organized

Your Action Plan has three main filters at the top: Diet, Lifestyle, and Supplement. You can use them to focus on the changes that feel the most practical.

Each recommendation is grouped into one of two sections.

1. Needs support

A screenshot of a health recommendation with a warning icon in a pink circle labeled "Needs support." Below, text reads: "Your top recommendations for the most impactful changes you could make based on your metrics that need support." A pink button states: "Reduce gut inflammation markers: Hexa-LPS index" with an upward arrow next to it.

This section includes your top recommendations for the most impactful changes you could make based on your metrics that need support.

To best support your gut where it needs the most care, your Action Plan starts with the highest impact steps and builds from there. This section is usually (see exception below) the best place to begin.

Start with one or two actions that feel doable—like introducing a new food, trying a supplement, or making a small lifestyle change. If you're not sure where to begin with food, look at your top three food recommendations in this section. You can even print out the rainbow food tracker and highlight a few new foods to try each week.

Tap any recommendation to learn why it was included, how it works, and what kind of timeline you might expect. For example, if you’re recommended a supplement like Serum Bovine Immunoglobulins (SBI), you’ll see how it may support your gut lining, why it was selected for your results, and a suggestion on how long to take it for.

For babies, there’s one exception: If there’s a probiotic recommendation in the Needs Improvement section, it’s okay to begin there. Your little one’s gut can shift quickly—sometimes in just a few weeks—so starting early can make a meaningful difference and set the stage for food-based support once solids are introduced.

2. Needs improvement

A screenshot of a health recommendation with an exclamation icon in a yellow circle labeled "Needs improvement." Below, text reads: "These recommendations address your metrics that need improvement, and are a second priority after those above." An orange button states: "Decrease ammonia production" with an upward arrow next to it.

In the Needs Improvement section, you’ll find important recommendations, just not the first priority. After you’ve tackled them, you’ll find suggestions here to build upon what you started in Needs Support. These additional actions bring you steps closer to a thriving microbiome.

As new habits settle in, you can explore ways to give your body extra support in this section. Over time, these small steps work together to help reduce the risk of microbiome-related conditions and guide you toward feeling better, day by day.

Don’t forget: you can bookmark your top picks to stay focused and make it easier to return to your Action Plan when you're ready for the next step.

What do recommendations look like?

Inside the Needs Support section, your recommendations are grouped by the areas of your microbiome that need the most attention—like inflammation or microbial diversity.

Each card explains what it targets and offers clear actions you can take, whether it’s a supplement like SBI to reduce inflammation or a lifestyle shift like getting more exposure to nature.

At the bottom, a blue link reads "See ALL related insights."

These actions are practical and research-backed, helping you take the guesswork out of where to begin.

If you're on your mobile phone, you might miss some of your personalized product recommendations. For the full experience, we suggest clicking through—or opening it up in a web browser.

"Immune-Gut Synergy" for ages 1+ years, formulated by Dr. Elisa Song, with a "Check website for dosage" note and a "Shop now" link. "IgGI Shield by Designs for Health" for adult-only dosing with a "Shop now" link.

If supplement and/or probiotic recommendations are part of your Action Plan, you’ll find different options and brands to choose from. That’s by design. We’ve removed the guesswork but offer flexibility so you can select the one that fits best for you.

You might prefer capsules, or maybe powders or liquids work better for you. You could be looking for allergen-friendly options or something that fits your budget. Whatever your preferences, your Action Plan gives you choices—so you can pick what works best for your routine.

Each supplement we recommend supports something specific in your results. Our suggestions are unbiased and evidence-based, grounded in efficacy and carefully vetted by our team.

You don’t need to get everything at once. Start with the top priority supplements based on your results, and easy food additions that are most practical, then move on to the next recommendation that fits. You can always utilize the bookmark feature to narrow down supplements and food lists.

Improving your microbiome health takes time—and your Action Plan is here to guide you toward feeling your best, one step at a time.

The Resources tabs you might’ve missed

Your Action Plan includes more than just diet, lifestyle, and supplement tips. The lower sections are also packed with extra tools that can help you dig deeper—especially if you or your child are managing a condition like eczema or constipation.

A screenshot of a menu with three options: a clipboard icon labeled "Resources based on your surveys" with a downward arrow, a lightbulb icon labeled "Additional resources" with a downward arrow, and a beaker icon labeled "When to resample" with a downward arrow.

Resources based on your survey

A screenshot with a section titled "Resources based on your surveys" and a note: "These recommendations are based on your survey responses." Under the subheading "For eczema," there are two recommendations: "Use an evidence-based probiotic for eczema symptoms" and "Digestive enzymes may improve eczema triggered by food," each with a right arrow next to them.

If you noted symptoms like eczema or constipation when filling out your health profile, you’ll find condition-specific recommendations in this section. These are handpicked based on what you shared, and can help you take more targeted action.

The Resources tab also includes blog posts related to your results. It’s an easy way to dig into the science behind your Action Plan.

After antibiotic exposure or a major change

A screenshot with a section titled "When to resample." Under the subheading "Track changes," there is a recommendation: "After antibiotic exposure or a major change," accompanied by a heart and checkmark icon and a right arrow.

This is one of the most valuable cards in your Action Plan, but it’s often overlooked because it’s tucked away in the When to Resample section. It’s a good idea to check it out now—so you're ready to support your microbiome during recovery from antibiotics.

You’ll also find recommendations to support your immune system, options besides fever meds,  tools for finding a holistic practitioner, and when to resample.

Why microbiome care looks different from traditional medicine

In conventional medicine, treatment is often singular, like taking an antibiotic to clear an infection. But microbial imbalances work differently. They’re more dynamic and require support from multiple directions: food, lifestyle, and targeted supplements.

That’s why your Action Plan offers a range of recommendations—and why it’s meant to be a flexible tool, not just another to-do list. It’s designed to support your progress, starting from whatever feels most comfortable and doable for you.

Support that grows with you

New routines, illness, travel—life has a way of throwing your gut off track. As your habits shift, so does your microbiome. Your Action Plan helps you stay on course—track progress, revisit recommendations, and adjust based on what’s happening now.

And because your gut keeps evolving, regular testing shows you what’s changing, what’s working, and what might need support. The more you know, the more confident your choices can be.

A final note. It’s always a good idea to check in with your practitioner before making changes to your diet or supplement routine. Our recommendations are based on research, but they’re not a replacement for medical advice.
