How can a Tiny+ membership support baby gut health?
It’s well established that a child’s gut microbiome in the first 1,000 days is one of the most important contributors to their lifelong health. But usually, parents only look into gut health when symptoms appear.
We believe it’s best to closely monitor baby gut health, starting as early as 7 days old. This is because underlying gut issues may not cause visible symptoms until a child is older.
But at that point, gut health may be past the restorative stage and more about symptom management.A Tiny+ membership allows you to easily track your microbiome during pregnancy and your baby’s gut health during key windows of development. So that you can take action when it matters most.
With that said, you can test anytime.
How does membership work?
After you become a Tiny+ member, we’ll ask you a few questions about your family’s health goals and assign you a Care Coordinator. With the membership, you’ll receive a members-only link to purchase as many gut tests as needed at a special discount price. We’ll also help you figure out the best time to sample based on your health goals. As you test your microbiome, you’ll receive research-backed suggestions to improve the health of your family. We encourage you to share these results with your healthcare provider.
Is this covered by FSA/HSA?
Tiny+ members can use their FSA/HSA to pay for microbiome test kits and supplements. The cost of the membership itself may not be covered.
That said, we recommend checking with your FSA/HSA company/carrier for more information and details as to how you can use these funds. We’re happy to provide any additional documentation you need, like a superbill. Please email us at email@example.com.
Will I consult with a doctor? Is this medical advice?
While our team does include medical doctors and microbiome experts, Tiny Health microbiome testing is not intended to diagnose or treat disease, or to substitute for a physician’s consultation.
Tiny Health microbiome testing is exclusively intended to be used for wellness purposes and educational purposes, since the microbiome may be associated with certain early life conditions. We encourage you to seek your healthcare provider’s consultation before taking action on any of our recommendations based on your unique microbiome results.
Who is this membership for?
Tiny+ membership is for families who are seeking to improve their children and their own health, regardless of specific goals or age.
When you test your microbiome multiple times over a period of time - instead of a single sample - you’re able to learn more about your own health. In research, this is called longitudinal data. And it’s really valuable because it shows health trends along with the impact of steps you may be taking to support your health. And whether or not they’re working.80% of a person’s immune system lives in the gut. Immune health is largely determined by the balance of beneficial versus unfriendly microbes in a baby’s gut during the first 1,000 days. This includes the first 9 months of pregnancy and a child’s first two years.
A child’s gut matures into an adult-like microbiome between 3-5 years old. However this doesn’t mean that testing after the age of 5 years old won’t help. While early microbiome signals for chronic conditions may be less clear, it’s worth keeping track of any imbalances so that you can make adjustments if necessary. As a parent, you have countless opportunities to influence your child’s diet, nutrition, and lifestyle.
Tiny+ can help uncover underlying issues if:
- You’re currently trying to conceive
- You’re currently pregnantYou experience vaginal or gut issues
- Your child was born via C-section Your child had antibiotics during labor or early in life (first 3 years)Your child has colic, trouble sleeping, or digestive issues
- Your child has a chronic condition like eczema, food allergies, or constipation
- You’re giving your child a probiotic and wondering if it’s working
- You’re making some dietary, supplement, or lifestyle changes and want to track how it influences gut health

An annual Tiny+ membership is $199 upfront. This gives you access to $139/kit testing (retail price: $199/kit). For a limited time, existing Tiny Health customers get $100 off their first year of membership.
Non-members currently pay $100/call for a 30-minute consultation. Tiny+ members get 2 FREE consultation calls per year. Additional consults are available at a 50% discount. During your call, we review your report results and give real-time feedback on action steps that work with your lifestyle.
What does “unlimited messaging” mean?
As a Tiny+ member, you have access to unlimited chat and email support. This includes Tiny Health medical doctors, practitioners, and microbiologists.
When messaging us, you can expect a response within 3 business days. But usually sooner.
NOTE: Unlimited messaging is not for emergency care or services. If you require urgent medical attention, please call 911 or visit an urgent care center. For more complex questions, you may need to set up a consultation to speak to one of our microbiome experts directly.
What happens if I already have an active subscription for your tests? What is the difference?
With our legacy subscriptions, you get 1 test kit every 3 months at the special price you signed up for. Many of our subscribers found that they needed more kits at the reduced price in order to test additional family members, which is why we developed Tiny+.
With Tiny+ you can get as many tests as you need at the reduced cost, even outside of the "once every 3 months" window of the legacy subscriptions.
If you decide to upgrade to our membership program, we will grandfather the price of the test kits you signed up for during your first year as a Tiny+ member, and you will get access to additional consults, unlimited support via email and chat, and all the members-only perks described above.
Does my membership automatically renew?
Tiny+ is set to auto-renew every year. One month before your membership is up, we’ll send you a message to remind you of the renewal. You’ll have the opportunity to opt out before your card is charged, or proceed with an updated plan.
How can I cancel my membership?
At Tiny Health, our membership is set up as an annual plan. All members have the opportunity to cancel their membership at any point in their annual plan, however we are not able to process a refund on your membership fees.
If you have any questions or would like to cancel your membership, please get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org.
