My son has severe eczema so we used the Tiny Health gut test to get an idea of what his gut microbes looked like and it was a huge help! It is affordable and they were super helpful with the shipping information as we were sending it internationally.
Got my 4 month old tested to understand his gut microbiome and it was so helpful in understanding what was going on with his skin. I have to get it retested after we started on solids to see where he needs more improvement.
A detailed assessment of my daughter’s microbiome. I learned a lot!
Our whole family sent in gut tests to gauge the health of our microbiome. I would highly recommend booking a consult as well, so you have an expert break down the findings of your results. We had Natalie, and she provided us a wealth of knowledge and insights.
Super easy to use, clear instructions and pre-paid shipping. Then you wait...4-8 weeks... then comes the fun part: stool results and how you can help your baby. Thanks TinyHealth!
I tested my now almost 2 year old daughter for the first time at around 8 months old. At that point, she had already had 4 courses of antibiotics for ear infections and had already been sick maybe 6 or 8 times in her short life. I decided to test her because I was dealing with some major gut issues myself post-partum, and I’d heard that the first three years are the most important for establishing proper gut health. Anyway, she didn’t have any abnormal symptoms at that exact time other than some diaper rash here and there and cradle cap. Her test turned up a common overgrowth that c-section babies get (yes, she was a c-section baby) called Klebsiella and the protocols gave me a clear and concise course of action to “treat” the infection with a hand full of herbs, a probiotic for 6 weeks, and an HMO prebiotic. Within weeks her diaper rash was totally gone and so was the cradle cap (which I never imagined could be part of this picture). But - the best part- she has not had one SINGLE ear infection since (she’s 22 months now) and was sick maybe three times this last year and change. Total. Gamechanger. I’m still getting her tested every few months and working with Taylor to fully understand how to best support her moving forward, work toward “great” in a few more categories, and make sure she stays there!I have her taking an HMO prebiotic (by choice), eating a large variety of whole foods/minimally processed foods, getting outside as much as we can, and retesting every once in a while to make sure we’ve still got it covered, and that’s about it. Oh, and she’s an oddly fantastic eater for a toddler- I wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised if this was part of the reason.
I wish we had this when my 11 year old was born! She cried from belly pain from day four onward and the doctors just shrugged and actually said it is normal that babies have belly pain! This test would have helped us to see exactly what was going on and probably would have saved us years of experimenting with different diets and blood tests. Now that we have done these Tiny Health stool tests, we know exactly where the imbalance is that we can directly support! Thank you Tony Health for keeping the cost low so more kids can be tested!
When most Doctors etc. treat symptoms, it was a God send to find Tiny Health which believes in getting to the root of things and addressing the imbalances that may be causing the certain issues in the first place. I initially tested my son because of food allergy and intolerances. I was also keeping my ears open about the use of probiotics for me because I was pregnant with my third child and wanted to avoid Strep B and the antibiotics that come along with it which I believe may have started the whole food allergy in the first place. Happy to say, my son can now eat peanuts! Praise the Lord! (still working on some tree nuts) And my strep B test was negative after taking steps with a women's probiotic so my third child did not have to be introduced to antibiotics right off the bat. The folks at Tiny Health were very supportive in helping me understand my son's results and the results themselves were a great look inside to see what might be going on. Thankful to have a more proactive option instead of reactive option that was available to us.
I was really worried about my baby’s gut so I did the Tiny Health gut health test. Turns out that he needed some support. I had a TON of questions that I fired off late on a Friday and didn’t expect to hear back. A little while later, I got a phone call from the CEO to discuss my results. She told me that she was a mom too and that the team could really tell that I was concerned so she chose to personally reach out to help me. She shared a lot of information with me and helped me to feel better about a plan. I was able to put some things into practice to influence his tiny gut quite quickly. We retested later and found SPECTACULAR results - the changes worked! Literally, his new results are just about perfect! You really can make a positive impact if you know what to do and how to help. I’m so happy that I was able to get this clarity.
Its hard to know how well the interventions work on the baby though. I tried one of the probiotics suggested but it seems to make baby more constipated.
I love how easy the test was and how you had recommendations for trusted supplement companies. I find it's overwhelming to choose what to try and this made it easy for my family based on what their needs were. I definitely recommend and am happy I tested!
This experience was simple, fast, and very informative! Will do again!
My son is 1 year of eczema free thanks to Tiny Health!!!!!! If you really follow their advices (all of them) you can really help your child to heal!!! I’m still testing my son’s microbiome because I want to be ahead of everything that can come up… I highly recommend Tiny Health if your kid is dealing with any illness in general.
The process was simple, much quicker than expected, and the informative report and interface were very impressive. Excited to do more tests to track the impact of changes we've made.
I liked how quick and easy it was to do the test especially for littles!
I recently gave birth & both my baby and I were given antibiotics during and immediately after labor. Several weeks after birth she wasn’t sleeping well, having horrible gas pains, spitting up, and was frequently fussy. I knew something was off, so I turned to Tiny Health. Tiny Health helped me figure out that her gut microbiome had colonized with almost exclusively unfriendly bacteria & gave me recommendations for how to fix it. Since moving forward with their recommendations, my baby is like a whole new person. She’s sleeping more and for longer stretches, she doesn’t have horrible gas pains, and is spitting up much less. As a first time mom my instincts told me something was wrong, and Tiny Health helped me to figure out what that was, when everyone else told me her symptoms were normal. I feel so confident in the results and recommendations that they gave me. I would use their services again for myself, my baby, and would encourage anyone with a similar experience to use Tiny Health!
I acquired the membership for my two-year-old son, I received a super easy kit I sent it and after three weeks I received the results it is amazing how detailed and professional it is. They also support you to know what to do after the diagnosis.
I’ve done a handful of these tests due to my son’s eczema. I think it’s a good tool to use but sometimes eczema can be more complex than just getting a stool test done. I do like that TH is showing reference ranges for infants and children, something that other companies don’t do. I hope to see them reduce their turnaround times in the future, when you’re a parent of an eczema child you want answers and potential solutions asap.
My children struggled with so many gut issues as babies and I went down a google rabbit hole to try and solve the problem. It wasn’t until I found tiny health that I was really able to get some clarity on what was going on in their little bellies and a direction to fixing it. Doctors recommended random products, but those ended up containing things my kids didn’t actually need. Within days after following Tiny health’s action plans they were sleeping better, acting happier, and the diapers were looking normal. These tests truly save my sanity and helped my babies feel so much better.
Tiny health helped us get our daughter’s eczema under control and actually able to heal! I’m so thankful for what they do.
I couldn’t thank Amy and Jennifer enough for their care, support and knowledge of their work. My baby had a CMPA and gerd and this journey we started is substantially improving her symptoms. After being left with no answers from my baby’s doctor this was definitely the alternative route I was looking for and while her symptoms haven’t completely resolved (yet!) I know we are on the right track to course correct her condition and prevent further issues. The team always reply to my questions and I’m very grateful to have come across tiny health. The gut test is easy to take.
With my first having FPIES (along with being a pandemic preemie) and my second having suspected FPIAP, I feel Tiny Health has given me some data to work with and even refer to in the future as more information becomes available. The data given helped ease my worry starting solids with my second a bit - especially having a glimpse into health condition biomarkers (ex. risk of food allergies and even other conditions like asthma or T1DM, etc.). I ended up doing the test for all 3 of us and I find myself still reviewing it to absorb all the information provided. Our journey is still early but I feel fortunate to have this information available to work with and inspired to work on improving our microbiomes - especially theirs as I’ve always been so interested in the first 1000’s days of life and also establishing healthy behaviours early on!
There were many unknowns with our son's medical history, and after two rounds of antibiotics at two weeks old, we knew we needed to address his immune system and gut health more specifically. After seeing his results in such detail, I had so much more peace of mind moving forward in making decisions for his health. The best part was being given specific recommendations for a pre- and probiotic for him... we had not been giving him the probiotic he needed. Now we know!
There is no test out there that you can get without a physician like this one. So informative and extremely helpful. I haven’t noticed any benefits after introducing the probiotic strain they recommended, but it’s still new so I didn’t expect to see the results yet. My daughter’s test didn’t have much for me to work with, her microbiome looked good, so I’m not sure why she is having blood in her stool. I have cut out dairy, soy and gluten from my diet but she still is having internal bleeding so I’m going to continue cutting allergens out of my diet to see if it improves.
