Tiny Health has really gone above and beyond in providing helpful and reassuring data from my vaginal and my baby’s gut test. With this pregnancy, I worked really hard on my gut health and I had no idea how much it affected the baby’s gut. Tiny Health provided me with clear data of my results with easy to understand explanations, an action plan on how to keep up the good results/areas to improve on, and other lifestyle factors that support gut health. The team is extremely knowledgeable and the app makes it so easy to look at your results and reference to. What I’ve learned is that moms breast milk has all the beneficial bacteria that the baby needs to flourish - and the test results proved it. With my first pregnancy we struggled with eczema, and I was worried for my second baby. The gut test detected levels of a certain bacteria that was associated with low levels of eczema l and we really have not had any issues! I plan to resample in the future and keep up with my baby’s development. If you are looking for the root cause of any issue or how to improve baby’s gut, the gut tests will lead you to those answers. I am so thankful for this amazing company and the sense of relief they have provided for me.
Wonderful service - I had such an informative conversation and guidance from Cheryl and Kim. I've ordered all the recommended supplements and will be working with my naturopathic doctor to follow up with some issues we identified during pregnancy (eg. GBS prevention). I love that I’m learning about upcoming pregnancy tests and can already start taking action to improve my health rather than to wait for a negative test to show up later. Thanks for providing this essential knowledge to help moms and families navigate gut health!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! This is an incredible service that I think every parent should take advantage of regardless of the age of your child. My son didn’t have any major concerns, but I wanted to make sure I was doing everything I could to set him up for a healthy future. I fortunately didn’t require interventions during birth, and I was able to breastfeed long term, so I was expecting his gut to look fairly good. However, after getting my report back it turned out there were quite a few things we needed to address. The Action Plan- especially probiotic recommendations and food recommendations, was so helpful!! There’s so much useful information on the report. I also had a consult call which was an added bonus and helped me prioritize the most important action items. It does take 4-6 weeks to get result, which seems to be industry standard for this newer technology, but I didn't mind waiting for this kind of detailed report! I’m so grateful for this service and I can’t wait to see how we are able to shape my son’s gut moving forward!!
We started our journey with Tiny Health when I was pregnant and immediately took action when I realized I didn’t have some microbes that are essential for my baby’s gut health. Now my baby is 3 months old and we can't wait to do another sample to track how her gut is evolving.
Our baby’s early day issues caused a lot of distress and sleepless nights for my husband and I, and Tiny Health was empowering in that it showed us what was going on with our baby’s gut. We got to learn so much about our baby's gut health - things we should change, continue to do, do more of... it was very interesting and insightful.
When you get health information, people tell you to check with your provider. But often times the providers don’t have the type of knowledge about the early life gut microbiome that Tiny Health does. Being able to talk to their experts about the gut microbiome is a really helpful addition to our other healthcare providers.
Talking with the Tiny Health Team we were able to get specific recommendations about options for probiotic brands and dietary change and guidance on how long we should try them before re-sampling.
We had a feeling our baby's gut microbiome might not be so good since he was having a lot of gas issues, and we really liked getting evidence-based recommendations from Tiny Health targeted specifically on what your baby's gut needs.
We were very impressed at how many insights we received in our reports and enjoyed learning about our whole family’s gut microbes. Our pediatrician was comfortable with some suggested actions and our baby’s symptoms went away after.
As a mom to a child with allergies, I am grateful for these actionable suggestions to strengthen her microbiome. I only wish I had found it when I was pregnant: to identify and address my own low bifidobacterium levels, help me find strategies to navigate the use of cleaning products during COVID, and take restorative steps after her early antibiotic exposure.
I have found that it is very rare for a pediatrician or even functional medicine practitioner to be on top of the details of specific bacteria within the gut. My doctors do not have such information. While the written report had lots of information and some suggestions, the reasoning and tradeoffs behind the recommendations came alive by talking to you about it.
As a first-time mom, I didn’t realize the impact my diet during pregnancy could have on my baby’s microbiome. Based on Tiny Health’s reports, I was able to adjust my diet and take the necessary steps to ensure that my baby is healthy. When my son was born, we tested his gut and followed Tiny Health’s recommendations to address his gut health. After 4 months, we retook the test and saw a drastic improvement. We’re thankful to be able to identify and take action to adjust his microbiome early on to make his immune system stronger. The first 1,000 days of a baby’s life have a significantly larger impact on their long term health and we’re so grateful for Tiny Health!
I was a little disappointed that it raised lack of f prausnitzii as a concern since the baby was only a couple of months old at the time of the test. My review of the research suggests that it doesn’t commonly appear until around Month 7, which would have been a useful thing to note.
I'm so grateful I was introduced to Tiny Health through my doctor at the local feeding clinic. My baby boy was exposed to antibiotics through breast milk at 1 month old. We tested at 9 weeks, and re-sampled after 2 months of consistent probiotic use, and his gut health changed from only 4% beneficial gut bacteria to 74% beneficial bacteria. As someone who has struggled my entire life with symptoms of 'leaky gut' and food intolerances, I'm excited that my son has the opportunity to have a strong healthy gut from infancy. Gut health is foundational for immune system function and mental health. It is incredibly empowering as a new Mom to know I'm taking proactive steps to help ensure my son has a strong foundation for lifelong health.
The action plan is great, but it would be more helpful to have a priority action plan. What is the top priority/benefits and rank them. I also wanted to look at the meaning behind the markers for food allergies showing borderline since she has been "diagnosed" with food allergies, but I found it difficult to dive into this information on the report.
I would 100% recommend this to anyone who is pregnant. I was blown away by how actionable the report was, and it was very reassuring to see those positive changes in my baby’s gut early on.
Speaking with the experts at Tiny Health helped me to prioritize the actions I could take to improve gut health and to make decisions around re-testing based on the actions I was planning to take.
When I first discovered tiny health, I learned that most of your immunity is in your gut! As a new first time mom and registered nurse, I obviously wanted to provide the healthiest lifestyle possible for my baby. My baby was born at a birthing center, vaginally, with no interventions, and exclusively breastfed. Because of all of these factors, I was expecting my baby’s gut to be pretty healthy. Well, I found out that he only had 9% beneficial bacteria in his gut! While we don’t know the exact cause, we believe it could be related to the fact that I took 3 rounds of antibiotics for mastitis. The only symptoms my baby was showing of an unhealthy gut was cradle cap that just wasn’t going away and multiple loose, runny stools per day. Tiny health provides a personalized action plan, which included starting my baby on a probiotic and for me to start taking omega 3s. Since starting the probiotic, his cradle cap started flaking off! In addition, his stool has gotten so much better! It is truly amazing. We plan to test again and I can’t wait for his results because I just know that his beneficial bacteria has increased just based on the improvements I see. I love that I have a measurable and easy test to know if my interventions are working. Thanks to tiny health, I know that I am giving my baby the healthiest start to life. Now we have even started testing the whole family! We love tiny health!!
Halstyn's symptoms have improved so much.
I was really pleased with how accessible this test was and how much detail Tiny Health provided with the test results. The action plan provided by Tiny Health greatly improved my son’s skin condition. I also really appreciated the free consultation to go over the results.
Love the detailed breakdown of the microbiome.
So much more detailed and helpful than what my paediatricians, dietitians, speeches, OTs, osteos etc have been able to provide. This has been extremely clear and helpful information as to why my Bub has been so unsettled.
It is better to test, not to guess.
This was a great test for our daughter. We wanted to set her up for success from the start and we were able to use the results to keep her on track!

Tiny Health’s tests bring the most comprehensive microbiome sequencing technology within reach. We support your family’s health journey from before pregnancy through infancy, childhood, and adulthood.
